I think Australian ringneck parrots would make a wonderful pet.

They are not wild animals.

The operative word being CAPTIVITY.

If a woman gives birth to a child in prison, should that child then forever be confined to a prison?

Bricktop

Here's an Australian bird you can put in a cage!!!

Do you have a dog?

Bricktop

Yes.

And she is allowed to wander freely (in the house and garden), and has a lot of bushland to walk in. No comparison to caged birds.

Here is a poor abused Australian pet parrot.

The birds are really hungry this time of year. This one got his piece of apple and took off to greedily devour it....lol I have to go back with more apples.

It's a wild bird.

They live in a very frequented picnic area at WA's Serpentine Dam.

Two landed on my head and walked down to my shoulder... one was very confident but the other was shaking a little bit.

Birds love their featherless friends.

I think humans are just as much toys to them as the other way around.

I had budgies breeding in my house.... they knew I was part of their flock.

They absolutely obeyed every command I gave them.... the ONLY time I was considered a "threat" was when Budgie Boy was mating with Budgie Girl and Budgie Boy considered me a threat. .....lol

And soon as Budgie Girl laid all her eggs he was back to trying to get more food off me.

I just love birds... I love all animals except crocs and sharks.

That is the same baseless claim as "horses love to be raced".

Unless a bird has told you that he or she loves humans, you have no way of knowing. Conditioning does not mean they love you.
