Quote from: "Chuck Bronson"I've had it with 'fun with sunlight' here in Van.  It's been damn near 35 all week, and this will continue into next week.

I'm fucking cooking in my cab at work, and can feel my really white skin burning.  It burns me out physically and mentally.

Some people hate the rain.  I like it!

That would be very uncomfortable in Vancouver..

Medicine Hat sometimes gets thirty five degrees, but there's little humidity there.

Most of our summer here is low humidity mid 30's. It's like a cool bath compared to the 40's which can happen for days or in some cases weeks depending on where you are. Where I go fishing every year is on the NSW and Victoria border and it's never below 40 degrees by 10 am.

That would be very uncomfortable..

Taiwan gets very humid in their long summer months too.

Bricktop

*sigh*....

There is no place on the Victorian/NSW border that is 40C plus at 10.00am every day, even in summer.

Forget the Claims - What are the Facts?

'According to the Bonzle Digital Atlas of Australia' (whom presumably sourced the Australian Bureau of Meteorology) the 10 hottest places by maximum mean temperature in Australia are -

    Wyndham, W.A. - 35.6°C.

    Marble Bar, W.A. - 35.3°C.

    Warmun(Turkey Creek), W.A. - 35.0°C.

    Kununurra, W.A. - 35.0°C.

    Timber Creek, N.T. - 34.9°C.

    Elliot, N.T. - 34.5°C.

    Derby, W.A. - 34.4°C.

    Looma, W.A. - 34.4°C.

    Borraloola, N.T. - 34.4°C.

    Kalumburu, W.A. - 34.3°C.

Note there is nowhere in Victoria or New South Wales.

As to the HIGHEST temperature

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) lists the highest official highest temperature recorded, state by state, as -

    Oodnadatta, South Australia - 50.7°C, 2 January 1960

    Mardie, Western Australia - 50.5°C, 19 February 1998

    Menindee, New South Wales - 49.7°C, 10 January 1939

    Birdsville, Queensland - 49.5°C, 24 December 1972

    Hopetoun, Victoria - 48.8°C, 7 February 2009

    Finke, Northern Territory - 48.3°C, 1 & 2 January 1960

    Scamander, Tasmania - 42.2°C, 30 January 2009

Hopetoun is in the vicinity of where Fraud allegedly goes fishing (other than the internet).

"During the early 2009 Australian heatwave, the town experienced several days of intense heat, with a peak of 48.8 °C (119.8 °F). The reading was the highest temperature nationwide during the event and also broke the record for highest temperature in Victoria.[4]"

My goodness, look at those hot temperatures.

Bricktop

And Aaron exposed yet again for talking nonsense...

Bricktop

You must bear in mind that heat without humidity is very different to heat with humidity.

35C in a dry climate is comparable to 25C in moister climes. Whilst direct sunlight is quite hot, you don't perspire and feel as hot as when there is moisture in the air, and that moisture feels oppressive and uncomfortable.

Chuck Bronson

I'm gonna look like a blonde haired beaner if this weather keeps up all summer.

He knows that, but it's part of his troll.

Look at Bricktop blow his wad.

For 5 years I've been fishing Mulwala Yarrawonga late January and have never seen a day without 40's temps despite what he and the BOM Bureau of Meteorology write. That's the same BOM caught multiple times turning off weather stations and downgrading record heat and cold waves for climate consensus.

Bricktop needs to stfu. He's out of his tree.
Blahhhhhh...

Bricktop

Ah...so YOU'RE right, and BOM is wrong.

Ah...so when you go fishing, you carry a thermometer?
