It's breeding season.

Corellas flock everywhere.  The noise is shattering!

But they will be gone in a week or so.

Why?

You wish they were on your street.

Bricktop

Happily, we live adjacent to open bushland which is where they flock...rather than in the street and nearby houses.

They don't hang around long, and the main irritation is their incredibly loud shrieking.

I'd like one in my living room.

Quote from: "Bricktop"That's a lot of miles. You must have LOTS of girlfriends!!!

I was married up until 6 years ago, to the girl I met when I was 16, became widowed, was single for a year, met a girl 14 years younger than me that didnt drive, then she moved further away, still with her but its a half hour drive, been with her almost 5 years. On top of that, my job is an hour away too, but passes her house lol. I drive roughly 35,000 miles a year.

Make sure your next girlfriend drives.

Look like Corellas to me. Although they are very similar birds and both cockatoos, the sulphur crest distinguishes one from the other. The Corella has a red crest which is much smaller than the sulphur crest.

When the sulphur crest is retracted they are almost identical to the untrained eye.

(I've just taken a closer look at the video. It's not good resolution but from the birds close to the photographer perched on the street light they are very clearly Corellas)

They sort of mix though....more in mini groups of their own colour within larger groups of everything.
Blahhhhhh...

Any of them would make a good pet.
