Nikon is out.

Olympus is in.

Thousands of $$$$ of camera gear switched out.

But full sized bodies and lenses are just too big and heavy. I need to scale down. I can't lug all that metal and glass around like I used to.

Lots of pics to come though...

Why did you choose Olympus over Panasonic or Sony? What about the new Nikon Z6?
Time is malleable

Zetsu

Do you mean you sold you Nikon and bought an Olympus full frame or only planning to stick to your current Olympus mirrorless.  Tbh I don't think any camera is too big for a guy like you Brick, maybe for me or Vanguy considering both of us aren't too tall like most White folks lol, but even a 5'5" guy like me wouldn't mind using a full frame, though I have to admit I have a bit of OCD.  I'm just kinda interested to find out which camera you've exchanged your Nikon for.
Permanently off his rocker

Bricktop

Not a full frame mirrorless.

OM D Em1 Mk 2.

Micro 4/3rds.

Brilliant piece of kit. Half the weight of my Nikon.

Nikon mirrorless are too expensive, and achieve nothing in terms of weight reduction. Their glass will be just as heavy as it is now. That was the key priority. The Olympus system is the best bang for your buck going. They have reduced everything, compromising nothing.

Very nice Bricktop.

They used to be black boxes with film in them, and some microprocessing.

They are now computers that take pictures. The have operating systems that must be updated.

I wouldn't know. The old lady has a decent camera, but I don't use it.

Bricktop

You could take pictures of your shiny shitter!!

Can't wait to see some pics with the new toy.

I've put one up of the rosellas...but what was once a simple machine that had to be fully manually controlled is now a computer with bewildering complications and settings that take practice to master.

Experts estimate that you won't fully learn to use a modern camera correctly until you've fired around 3000 shots...most of which will be duds.

But, I shall do my best...

My wife and I are thinking about buying a new camera. We don't have the patience though to wait for 3000 shots before knowing what we are doing.

Bricktop

Patience not necessary. 2 days....1500 shots...

In five and a half years when I am retired and living in Panama I will match or even surpass that.
