We got mojito ingredients, Bordeaux Blanc and Tiger beer ready for X-mas eve night and for X-mas day. Mojitos for me, beer for him, white wine for both of us on the 25th.

Quote from: DKG on December 17, 2024, 07:56:38 AMAre you a beer man? If you are what do you like? light lagers, ales, stouts, or possibly British cider?

I like light lagers.  Ales are OK and I like some hard ciders. Stouts and dark beers suck.  I do like me some of the micro-brewery products around, like Two Brothers up the river from me in Aurora.  They brew a kick ass honey weiss.  But for the most part, I just stock my fridge with some common swill.

Quote from: Reggie Essent on December 14, 2024, 09:32:52 PMI only liked bourbon. Four Roses or Evan or that Basil Heyden stuff.  That was too fucking expensive.  Evan and Jack are similar, but Evan tasted smoother to me. Jim Beam ain't bad either.  Don't matter now, I laid off that juice.

Or one can moderate what one imbibes according to their wants and desire as time goes by.  I do know that my mornings are easier now I'm lighter on the intake the night before.

Now I'm hungry from breakfast tomorrow ...

Quote from: Lokmar on December 14, 2024, 09:59:58 PMIts best if you stick with only top shelf shit as you age. I'd recommend Old Forester 1924, E.H. Taylor Single barrel, or a top shelf Wild Turkey Product.....either Rare Breed or Russel's Reserve 15 year.

Quote from: Reggie Essent on December 14, 2024, 09:54:48 PMIt's not like I won't have a bourbon on the rocks if I go out somewhere. I just stopped putting a bottle on my cupboard shelf because it was too easy to have a shot or five every night. ;)

Quote from: Lokmar on December 14, 2024, 09:38:53 PMSo I'm not a fan of ANYTHING Jim Beam. Why? It has no sweetness to it and it hits me like rot gut.

Cucknadian Whiskey is way too sweet to me.

Heaven Hill is between Brown Foreman and Jim Beam to me. Buffalo Trace is between Brown Foreman and Cucknadian shit.

Anywho, Buffalo Trace (top shelf) and Brown Foremen is my jam.

Goddammit!  I don't drink the shit no more.
