I don't drink much bourbon anymore. That bottle on my shelf will last me for months.  I like Jim Beam and Even Williams, but Basil Heyden and Four Roses are pretty good, but you gotta spring more ducats for that shit.

Basil Hayden is a Beam product. IMO Knob Creek and Basil Hayden are better than anything branded Jim Beam.

Evan Williams is Heaven Hill. I like Heaven Hill better than Beam products but the last white label 100 proof Evan Williams I bought, I poured down the drain. The Heaven Hill Branded Bottled in Bond is pretty good. Old Fitzgerald, including the new 7 year, is a hard pass for me.

I just wont drink shit anymore unless I REALLY like it!

Another brand to try is Michters. I've got a bottle of the sour mash opened right now and its way better than the average swill. $50 tho.

Life is short. Dont drink the average swill, ESPECIALLY if you dont drink much!

IC that I've neglected this thread. So.....

jackass Daniels has released Single barrel Heritage Barrel. Its $70-$80. WELL worth it IMO! Its a toasted barrel so its different than the average high dollar JD. Nose is very caramel and toffee with a bit of vanilla. It did have a bit of a strange marker scent when I first opened it but that went away on the second pour. 100 proof. Decent mixer for jackass and Cokes.

Its going to be shelf stable so the dipshits that have it on the shelf for $200, let em know to fuk off!

You cant throw that up without exposing the cost. What did you pay per bottle AND specify if it was Cucknadian or REAL dollars!

I bought a case of 12 750ml bottles. That is nine litres or about two and a half gallons. With tax I paid $373 Canadian or about $275 USD.

Penelope Whiskey. They make lots of different bottlings and some like it. Its not cheap but damn, I DONT LIKE ANY OF IT! Its MGP distillate and thats probably why.

Hard pass, ALWAYS!

I can appreciate that! I personally dont like scotch but I have a lot of respect for the craftsmanship that goes into both of those!  :good:

I do like some Irish Whisky's like Red Breast. My sister in law got me a 12yr Aberfeldey Scotch  last year and it was good. Not too much peat, more like an Irish Whisky.
