I dunno where you got I'm from Michigan.  Maybe from my mention of Wheaton.  I think there's a Wheaton in Michigan.  I'm in Illinois -- Chicagoland.  Not in Chicago, but on the far western edge of the metro area where all the whites flighted to over the years.

Here's my find from the flea market.  I haven't hung it yet because I have to move the tv and get a step stool and I'm a man and incredibly lazy.  I jewed the guy down to 20 bucks.  The frame alone is worth that.

I have no idea how old it is or its provenance or anything like that.  The inside panel is hand embroidered.  I'm thinking of opening the frame to get a closer look, but I don't know if I wanna do that.  I just liked the look of it and the colors and it matches up with another piece of art I'm gonna hang it with.  I'll take another picture when I get it up so you can see what I mean.

I know it's worth more than 20 bucks though.

And believe me, I know all about the painting and staining and house renovates and all that stuff.  It's never ending.

Yeah, you always get dirty cleaning up shit in the yard.  I can see over to your area on my tv weather map when I watch the local news, and I could see the line of storms moving through.  I didn't get any weather here, but it's like 20 degrees cooler today than yesterday.

I just watched the last Bears preseason game.  They look pretty good.  Better than last year. So now instead of doing the numerous chores that are backlogged, I've decided to plug in this old guitar and pluck on it for a while and then maybe go have a nap.

 ... right after I go have an afternoon snack ... or maybe a beer ... and check on the damned cat.

 

I'm doing backstrokes in an Olympic size swimming pool filled with MAGA tears.

Woke up at 4:30 am on a Sunday morning due to alarms that weren't turned off.

Feeling peckish, fried up some sizzle steaks to go in Turkish flatbread along with some rare provolone (it's finally being sold at one supermarket deli here. Bit of garlic and mushrooms too.

Gutsed myself and didn't get to one of the wild mandarins I plucked out of a tree in a remote mountain top bush track. Super super sweet and flavoursome but mega amounts of seeds. I've been saving the seeds of those and wild lemons for a mate and his American missus way down south on an off grid 50 acre farm.
