I went and had a look. Got a 403 Forbidden error, was gonna try a different IP but got distracted by some Greta Von Doomsburg tentacle porn in another tab I had loaded instead.

I assume BF is now what that Flame Truth site was...meaning it's no longer a forum per se looking to grow and gain new members, but an experiment by the owner to test out website software and mess around with emoticons. That a small number of people still post there is sort of a bonus. I can not believe anyone is actually enjoying telling each other what they are having for dinner or what their most recent purchase was...I also notice posting obituaries of celebrities and pseudo celebrities is quite popular, really old people are rather fond of reading the obituary section in the newspapers...well my grandparents always did that and lots of other old people I know do that too, it's rather depressing actually...almost as depressing as when that esteemed flame forum called Third Rail turned into a blog.

I think BF and many of the remaining so called community sites function much like a virtual rec center that provides activities for adults with intellectual disabilities...perhaps adding Virtual reality functionality to the sites would allow greater stimulus for the more severely retarded members, rocking on one's haunches while drooling profusely while wearing a VR helmet should prove calming and relaxing for many of the adults posting on the community sites.

I realize the CBT posters are an entitled lot that demand special privileges for themselves. This is why I would like to offer to have them have their own Leftist Lounge here with Oak, or Admin modding it.

It is not good having all centre left posters on one forum, and all conservative/classical liberal posters on another(save Garraty_47). I want diversity of opinion and unlike the owner of BF, I am mentally stable. I will not panel abuse anybody because I had a bad day.

Flame Truth was pretty much always that I imagine, it's original owner ST (Superterran) more active on Brawl Hall than he ever was when it came to his own site. Ceedub or perhaps Bonesaw is welcome to correct me if my recollection is inaccurate, but it always seemed to me that it was always some core of users attempting to make it more than what the owner of the place had in mind.

Most of them aren't capable of affording the hardware and/or are discinclined to learn how to set it up. Messageboards are trailing edge technology, ideally suited to a Pavlovian mindset that are content to pull a RISC device out of their pocket should it take to vibrating their naughty bits. Kind of a "oooh, I just got liked on Fecesbook.... SPURRRRRT-sploogey" thing.

I should be forever grateful the hardware and intellectual bar for entry to such platforms are such that more of their ilk do not follow in their footsteps.
