Our generation takes way too much for granted.
Our prosperity is the result of our parents/grandparents sacrifices and HARD WORK. They never knew the luxuries, vacations or free time that we enjoy today. My grandparents/parents lived through Wars, Depressions, deaths in the family, etc etc. and they lived to tell me about it. However, one of my grandparents didn't and he died prematurely in a field who worked as a farmer. I never met him as he was just 55 when he died. The boys in the family, including my Dad, had to step up and become the providers overnight.

Likewise someone like DKG came from a country which was blown apart by a Civil War. I believe Korea was just flattened during the Korean War and his grandparents or parents experienced extreme hardship and had to work very hard to build that country up again so that today's Korean youth could enjoy the prosperity they created & the older folk never could hope to experience.

Altho I didn't experience their hardships, they gave me the awareness how far we've gone in such a short time.

At the same time, they made me aware that our current prosperity which we owe to them - and take for granted -is rather tenuous as well. It could disappear as fast as it materialized.

If I can find a few years that aren't too expensive, I might buy them.

$5/10/20 Gold seem interesting.

I like those 19th century issues with the Indian heads.

This one is interesting. However I kinda think the artist who made it got it from an Aztec Indian, not an American:



American Indians didn't wear crowns on their head like that.
