Well it's pretty clear they aren't about tending and nurturing the imperfect. As good and preferable as you and I might agree the US is, it is far from perfect. Leftardism (being the death cult that it is) would prefer to smash what offends them, exterminate it, put it to death. I avoid politics if possible..

I still voice opinions on issues that affect all of us who aren't rich and powerful..

Even then I try not to support party positions....arguing partisan politics is a dead end.

I think we have moved past party politics and into an existential struggle for the very soul of this country.  At the moment we are making some headway in changing who controls the narrative.   I hope that can continue and that the corrupt can be brought to justice. I remain skeptical that lasting change is possible with a disengaged populace.
