It could depend on what the Revolutionary Guard does. A lot of their top brass has been taken out along with a couple of their nuclear scientists. If the Ayatollah is killed and the bunker buster takes out the nuclear refinement facility they may finally get fed up and walk away.

We have had several top military and religious leaders fleeing to Canada. Of course Carney welcomes them. What could possibly go wrong welcoming enemy combatants with open arms.
