Quote from: Herman on June 20, 2025, 07:06:34 PMCarson Hocevar, currently the 20th-ranked driver in the NASCAR Cup Series, was preparing for the Viva Mexico 250 race in Mexico City and was livestreaming himself using a driving simulator to practice the track.

With the question from a viewer "are u a fan of the track" visible on screen, Hocevar began describing his experience in Mexico City, and it was his description of the lack of safety in the city that landed him in hot water.

Hocevar began by saying that if "the travel was better, if getting here was easier, if you felt safer getting to and from everywhere," it would be a much better experience — but he did not stop there. The driver unleashed even more descriptors of the trip that were holding him back from having a good time.

"If it wasn't such a s***hole, if the track limits were a little better enforced, if it was gonna be a little bit better of a race and it wasn't so easy or feel so locked down like you can't leave anywhere, it'd be a great experience. It'd be an absolutely great experience. If you take all those out, it's unbelievable."

Carson is now subject to "mandatory cultural-sensitivity and bias-awareness training," with the racing team citing the word "respect" written on their cars as a reason for the training.

I missed this gem. First off, NASCAR sucks donkey bawlz! They've absolutely ruined the sport and its been shit since the 90's. I hope he takes the DEI training, comes out, and immediately calls mexico a shithole failure of a country!

The new president of the International Olympic Committee has held her seat for just one week and is already making monumental moves.

As the head of the IOC, Kirsty Coventry wields tremendous power not only in the business world but in setting the tone worldwide for standards in sports.

After assuming office on June 23, the former Zimbabwean swimmer took questions in a nearly hour-long press conference, where she made one thing clear: The Olympic Committee is moving away from placating transgender athletes.

The 2024 Paris games were cloaked in shame after male Algerian athlete Imane Khelif competed and won gold in women's boxing, causing massive public outrage. Khelif has been proven to be a man four times over but was still allowed to compete after the IOC ended gender testing in 1999, punting the responsibility to individual sports bodies.

That status quo may be changing.

China burns more coal than the rest of the world combined. India burns more than the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom combined. The 10 ASEAN countries rank third.

Western critics keep forecasting a shift away from fossil fuels. Reality keeps proving them wrong.

Hundreds of millions in the Yuxi Circle which contains seven percent of the world's surface and fifty five percent of the globe's population are still striving for what Westerners call a "decent life." That means refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioning — and with them, a dramatic spike in electricity demand.

libtards are incapable of grasping most concepts, especially that America is not a major world polluter or that the electrical grid cannot in any way support even 50% of US cars being fully electric. You may as well tell your cat to drive to the store and do this weeks shopping as to discuss these irrefutable FACT! with a libtard.

For years, many have suspected that Harvard, America's oldest and most revered educational institution, has artificially tampered with the racial and gender makeup of its student body by denying admission to highly qualified white and Asian applicants in favor of members of other racial groups, even those with less impressive skills, test scores, and resumes.

Those suspicions were confirmed in 2023 when the Supreme Court determined that Harvard College and the University of North Carolina had violated the Constitution and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by discriminating against Asian-American applicants in their undergraduate admission processes. The decision effectively ended affirmative action admissions at the college level altogether.

Now it appears that the Harvard Law Review, perhaps the most prestigious legal journal in the country, has likewise repeatedly considered race, gender, and other personal characteristics when evaluating submissions and editorial applicants, according to a series of damning reports from the Washington Free Beacon.

The Supreme Court limited nationwide injunctions, yet a judge persists in blocking Trump's deportation push.

Another district judge sought to block the Trump administration's mass deportation efforts by preventing the Department of Homeland Security from stripping Temporary Protected Status from over 500,000 immigrants, despite the administration's recent Supreme Court victory.

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Brian Cogan in Brooklyn attempted to block the Trump administration's termination of TPS for Haitian nationals. He claimed that Noem "cannot reconsider Haiti's TPS designation in a way that takes effect before February 3, 2026, the expiration of the most recent previous extension."

"Plaintiffs are likely to (and, indeed, do) succeed on the merits. Secretary Noem's partial vacatur was in excess of her authority and was thus unlawful," Cogan wrote.

In response to Cogan's ruling, police analyst and Townhall columnist Phil Holloway noted that the "lawfare continues" against the Trump administration, which has faced numerous roadblocks from district judges.

On the third day of a union strike of municipal workers, garbage is piling up in Philadelphia, and some workers are resorting to threats and vandalism against residents who dare to break the strike.

The City of Philadelphia is negotiating with members of the AFSCME District Council 33 union, who are asking for a wage increase of 8% per year. The city has offered to increase wages by 7% over three years, which led to the worker strike beginning Tuesday.

Since then, residents are reporting that garbage is piling up and threatening their standard of living.

The city has set up dumpster locations, but union workers are demanding that residents respect the strike and ignore the garbage sites to pressure the city into caving to their demands.
