The Democrats, the Liberals in Canada, the British Labor and similar parties have exchanged liberalism for progressivism. They have traded the blue collar vote for the board room vote.

Here is an example of how the Dems have alienated working Americans.

In a new memo, shared exclusively with POLITICO, the center-left think tank Third Way is circulating a list of 45 words and phrases they want Democrats to avoid using, alleging the terms put "a wall between us and everyday people of all races, religions, and ethnicities." It's a set of words that Third Way suggests "people simply do not say, yet they hear them from Democrats."

They span six categories — from "therapy speak" to "explaining away crime" — and put in sharp relief a party that authors say makes Democrats "sound like the extreme, divisive, elitist, and obfuscatory, enforcers of wokeness." In the document, titled "Was It Something I Said?" Third Way argues that to "please the few, we have alienated the many — especially on culture issues, where our language sounds superior, haughty and arrogant," according to the memo.

Among the blacklisted terms: privilege ... violence (as in "environmental violence") ... dialoguing ... triggering ... othering ... microaggression ... holding space ... body shaming ... subverting norms ... systems of oppression ... cultural appropriation ... Overton window ... existential threat to [the climate, democracy, economy] ... radical transparency ... stakeholders ... the unhoused ... food insecurity ... housing insecurity ... person who immigrated ... birthing person ... cisgender ... deadnaming ... heteronormative ... patriarchy ... LGBTQIA+ ... BIPOC ... allyship ... incarcerated people ... involuntary confinement.

Quote from: Biggie Smiles on August 24, 2025, 10:38:54 AMwhen are conservatives going to learn that we have to fight as dirty as they do to beat them?
Did we though? Like you, I saw the left take its gloves off and commit some of the most openly blatant shitbaggery seen so far. Joe Normie woke the fuck up, it was that blatant.

I did not see MAGA supporters toting AR-15s to Joe Biden or Kamala rallies. I didn't hear any lunatics gaining the MSM podium to dehumanize lefties and call for their execution, nor did I see any creating towering piles of conspiratorial bullshit regarding what the left were up to. Maybe it happened and I missed it, but it was near impossible to avoid examples of it happening on the left, short of unplugging every last device I own and going off to like in a yurt in Tanganyika. This election was lost by the left because their cheating and associated "malarkey" was too big to hide, swaying popular sentiment against them.

And I don't believe they have learned their lesson either. Thankfully we have seen a drawing down of the slush funds and corruption being used to prop up their mouthpieces, but they are wounded and running scared and liable to go all out at the midterms, to say nothing of 2028. Trump cannot run for a third term, nor would it serve the American people for him to. We ought to be concentrating on getting the next president into position instead of giving the left legitimate reason for complaint that they might rally support behind.

I do get where you're coming from and I would be lying if I said I wouldn't derive some satisfaction out of showing the left how it's really done. Jesus Christ, I've said often enough that I want those responsible for Covid tried and tortured for their crimes. Not imprisoned, not executed.... tortured. And I could do it myself, coldly and clinically, under lights and with the whole world watching on. But I am also smart enough to know that kind of justice is going to turn a lot of peoples stomachs against it and stumble blindly back into the arms of the criminals that got us here in the first place. Criminals who would make all the promises in the world to get their claws back on the tiller for the purpose of fucking things up to their liking again.

Naturally I do not wish for this outcome, I will therefore seek a more effective way of addressing my grievances against them. I can kid myself that successfully voting to keep them out of office in favour of a better candidate is punishment enough. We DO need that better candidate in position.

Scott Presler had the right idea. Get your best arguments in place as to why people need to vote and start registering them. The political death of the Democrat Party neuters dickheads of a lot higher threat capacity than the loser sludge you find at Bitchmade Fuckwankery, and you can do a lot worse than cast your keenest eye over what MAGA offers up in the years ahead and rally support behind the best prospects.

Purging lefties in the streets? It's a nice dream, I'll admit. It should remain so. We can do a whole lot better.

Quote from: DKG on August 24, 2025, 10:57:40 AMThe Democratic Party is out of touch with middle America. Barring a major recession or another plandemic they will not win back the White House in 2028.
Perhaps not even then, they'll need to sing a different tune and offer up substantially more than "we're not Trump".

There is recency bias to consider as well. Four years is a long time and should the Democrats get smart and apply themselves to promising shit that they can fool enough of the public into believing in spite of what they served up in 2020-24, then MAGA may very well be in for a world of hurt come the next presidential election. That may be exacerbated if they win back control of the house and/or senate in 2026 and can slow Trump up in his last two years in office.

Financially speaking, it's a rocky road ahead and I'm thankful we've a business savvy operator to steer us through it. Trump cannot work miracles though, we are far from a Golden Age though I feel we are headed in a better direction than the alternative offered us last year. And sure, Trump cannot manage a response to a pandemic at the state level, though he will undoubtedly be required to shoulder the blame for the knock-on effects of Democrat governors crippling their economies for political leverage - just as we saw in 2020.

But people at our level? We can do our part by being a whole lot smarter and more proactive in swatting the bullshit back. I will remind you (again) that amplifying a captured MSM's talking points works against us here and coach you instead to rely on independent commentaries to inform your opinion... also to do your own due diligence and do any background research it occurs to you to do. Yeah, so it's hard work on top of your daily grind; do it NOW and you'll be spared having to live with the consequences of NOT having done it later.

This fight we are ringside for isn't solely Trump's, or even MAGA's. It's our fight.
