I was thinking these robots are really skinny, petite people who have been enslaved and sealed inside the robotic body and the app is administering electric shocks to control them. The odds are also good some elderly woman will buy it and it will either start a fire and burn the house down or murder her while she sleeps.

Nope, I would never have one in the house for just that reason. Robot logic - Human is old - Human is unhappy being old - I must make human happy - find a pillow.
