Not at the moment but I've had handguns, rifles, shotguns, and for a while I had an AR-15.

Over the years I've had to shoot qualification scores with a .38 revolver, an M-16, a .357 revolver, 9mm and .40 Glocks, shotguns, etc.

Since I don't have to qualify with anything these days I just kinda lost interest in having one around. Eventually I expect I'll probably pick up at least another handgun, most likely a Glock .40, but beyond that I dunno.

When I moved to Greece I had to relinquish my 357 Magnum and my 380 Ruger semi automatic.

I don't like the feeling of knowing I have nothing to defend myself in the event of a home invasion, which is admittedly highly unlikely but in this crazy world you never know.

I keep a 357 S&W model 640 Pro revolver at my side most of the time. I added a green laser grip to it that activates by the middle finger gripping the gun. Its loaded with 38 hollow points in case my wife would ever need to use it.

Its heavy and has a heavy trigger. 357's are manageable in it. Surprisingly, they seem to have even less recoil than my 3" Python!

The biggest difference I cared about was that I didn't have ticket or arrest quotas/expectations hanging over my head. I didn't have to spend the majority of my time harassing people for the fuck of it, or getting money for the college via citations/fines (which went to Roanoke City anyway).

It was actual community policing not just a friendly-sounding program running cover for the same ol' procedures and practices.
