The lines are hardening.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called U.S. peace offers "unconstructive and contradictory" on Monday.

Pezeshkian said in a statement on X that Iran has a "deep historical mistrust" of the U.S. that has colored negotiations.

"Honoring commitments is the basis of meaningful dialogue. Deep historical mistrust in Iran toward U.S. gov conduct remains, while unconstructive & contradictory signals from American officials carry a bitter message; they seek Iran's surrender. Iranians do not submit to force," Pezeshkian wrote.

The U.S. Navy has denied reports of food shortages aboard vessels operating in the Middle East on Sunday.

The office of the Chief of Naval Operations addressed the claims in a post on X, saying U.S. sailors remain well fed and well stocked.

"Statement on Claims of Food Shortages aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Tripoli: Recent reports alleging food shortages and poor quality aboard our deployed ships are false," the office wrote.

President Trump said on April 20 that he is unlikely to renew the truce with Iran if a deal to end the war is not reached before the April 22 deadline.

The ceasefire, which was announced on April 7, expires on "Wednesday evening Washington time," Trump told Bloomberg in a phone interview.

It's "highly unlikely" that he will extend it if no deal is reached before then, Trump said. The ceasefire was originally set to expire on April 21.

IDGAF. Seriously, I dont. If eliminating Irans nuke capabilities meant every single Iranian died like a dog, I'd sign off on it.

Trump needs to get troops on the ground in the mountains where they had their nuke program, and start excavating that uranium. Then, we need to work on executing this new set of Iranian leaders. Maybe he switches the order of those two.
