I've been posting on these forums for longer than almost everyone here has.  The difference?  I don't want to be your online, or offline, friend.  Over the years, many posters have developed offline relationships.  I don't do this.  I don't communicate with any single poster, from any forum, in private.  I am a rarity.



For me to get my point across, I have to sling my shit on the board...  On the forum.  Like I did here.  If she keeps posting bullshit about me, I'm out.  She has stopped that now, so I post.



I'm not asking for special treatment, I just wanted the Gook to stop telling everyone that I'm responsible for all the Guest postings, when I'm not.

It's simply a foreign concept for them at this point.  They witnessed my forum "The Tavern," and thought that it actually kinda worked!  It did!



That was the spark that initiated that here, actually.  They have no clue about running a Guest only, and still don't.  It will come in time, but fuck if I let them blame me for things that are posted here, or accuse me of posting shit that I haven't posted...



That's the fucking problem...  I know very well the downside of free Guest posting.  Here, they don't, and aren't really equipped to even understand it, let alone handle it.

I wouldn't call that a downside to guest posting... more like a downside to assuming the entire world is out for as much notoriety as the next poster. Simply put, they aren't. Guest posting isn't any threat in and of itself. You have a competent moderator and people prepared to let each and every post stand or fail on its own merits, identities soon become a meaningless anachronism. Too many fat-headed people about who rely on identity to get them over the line - there's your problem, right there. Any dunce caught unduly smoking the cock of identity needs to be herded up to the top paddock and chased about by slavering wolverines for a bit.
