The California Senate is considering a bill that would prohibit schools from suspending disruptive and defiant students. The rationale behind the bill is that such suspensions disproportionately affect black male students.

This ban on holding students accountable for bad behavior would apply to charter schools and public schools alike, grades 1 through 12.

It seems that a new member of Congress has been in a real hurry lately. In the last six years, he has amassed over 80 traffic tickets and parking violations, totaling more than $6,500.

On Saturday, the New York Post first reported that Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.), the freshman congressman from New York City's 10th district, had 84 traffic and parking tickets assessed against two SUVs registered in his name: a 2014 Range Rover and a 2019 Lincoln Navigator Reserve.

Despite a long rap sheet of traffic violations, Rep. Goldman has pledged his commitment to improving traffic safety. "Ensuring that our streets are safe begins with our city fleet," Goldman said just a few weeks ago when discussing a program that would equip city-owned vehicles with active, intelligent speed-assistance technology.

"I look forward ... to keep[ing] New Yorkers safe on the road," he added.

In addition to his platform regarding road safety, Goldman has also walked in lockstep with those promoting the Green New Deal. "I am proud to join the House Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition in the fight for environmental justice and a comprehensive and equitable green energy transition," he said just a few days ago.

Though he pays lip service to "environmental justice" and "sustainable energy," his two luxury SUVs seem to belie his dedication to the cause, as noted by the New York organization STREETSBLOG, which aims to reduce vehicle traffic and promote bike and foot traffic instead. That's "not a pair of cars that a self-proclaimed environmentalist should be driving," the blog stated. The blog also alleged that Goldman is now ushered about in a different, gas-guzzling SUV, a Cadillac Escalade.

Goldman, 46, is the heir to the Levi Strauss jeans fortune and is worth an estimated $253 million. He and his wife and their five children live in a NYC condo valued at $27 million. Though the race for the newly redrawn 10th congressional district was rather crowded in 2022, Goldman prevailed, largely because he funneled millions of his own money into his campaign. Now that he has been sworn in, he is one of the wealthiest members of Congress.

Before he was elected, Goldman served as one of the lead attorneys against former President Donald Trump in the first impeachment proceedings in 2019.

AOC says Jesus was a fascist.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) went viral on Sunday for criticizing Christian ads that aired during the Super Bowl.

What were the ads about?

The "He Gets Us" campaign spent $20 million to air two commercials during the Super Bowl.

One of the ads showed people from different background engaged in fights and arguments over politics, religion, and justice issues. "Jesus loved the people we hate," the ad says at the end.

The other ad showed various pictures of children displaying kindness and compassion. "Back in Jesus' day, children weren't regarded the same way they are today. This made his teachings around the value of being childlike countercultural," a description of the ad reads.

"Jesus didn't want us to act like adults," the ad declares.

What did AOC say?

Toward the end of the Super Bowl, Ocasio-Cortez condemned the advertisements and claimed that Jesus would not approve of spending such a large sum of money "to make fascism look benign."

The New York Democrat, however, did not explain how the advertisements whitewash fascism or how the commercials in any way approved of fascism or promoted it.

"We simply want everyone to understand the authentic Jesus as he's depicted in the Bible — the Jesus of radical forgiveness, compassion, and love," the organization explains on its website.

This is how we exchanged journalism for partisan propaganda.

Soros-backed groups conspired to silence, defund conservative news outlets with government help

Lavishly funded groups purporting to track "disinformation" worked behind the scenes to silence conservative media by sapping advertising revenue, according to a series of investigative reports by the Washington Examiner.

"The radical left knows better than anyone that the best way to upend America and destroy freedom is to muzzle the voices of their opposition," Vice President of Media Research Center's Free Speech America Dan Schneider said Friday.

"They masquerade as defenders of information, but we all know that they're just authoritarian thugs."

"It's devastating," Mike Benz, the State Department's ex-deputy assistant for internal communications and information policy, told the Washington Examiner.

"The implementation of ad revenue crushing sentinels like News[G]uard, Global Disinformation Index, and the like has completely crippled the potential of alternative news sources to compete on an even economic playing field with approved media outlets like CNN and the New York Times."

Global Disinformation Index, a British organization, feeds blacklists to ad companies. Ad companies like Xandr, in turn, use GDI's "dynamic exclusion list" to avoid placing ads on websites GDI flags as a disinformation risk, the Washington Times explained in the second installment of its Disinformation, Inc. series.

Microsoft-owned Xandr, notably, has now reversed course by removing the negative flags on conservative outlets, the outlet reported Monday. Those negative flags blocked the right-leaning outlets from receiving advertising revenue, on which some heavily rely for continued operation.

Leftist mega-donor George Soros is among the funders of Global Disinformation Index, as are two State Department-backed entities, the Washington Times reported Monday. In addition, GDI's advisory panel includes a trio of Soros-tied members, according to research conducted by Newsbusters.

A pair of Texas-based nonprofits are affiliated with Global Disinformation Index, the British group with an ostensible mission to "remove the financial incentive" to create "disinformation," the Examiner's report explains. In practical terms, that translates to silencing news outlets the organization disagrees with by starving them of crucial advertising revenue.

TheBlaze is among the ten "riskiest" outlets for "disinformation" the self-described "nonpartisan" GDI identified in a 2022 report. The New York Post, Reason Magazine, RealClearPolitics, the Daily Wire, One America News Network, the American Conservative, the Federalist, Newsmax, and the American Spectator rounded out the organization's target list.

The same list identified BuzzFeed News, HuffPost, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and other left-leaning outlets as "least risky."

Republicans and democRATs don't want Trump and Jim Crow Joe.

Fifty-two percent of registered Democrats said Biden should not seek a second term, compared to 40% of Republicans who said Trump should not run again, according to the national poll, which gathered responses from 4,408 adults from Feb. 6-13.

In the 1960's California's public schools and universities were the best in the U.S. and in the 1990's it was still a top ten.  Now it is 49th out of 50 with only Mississippi being worse.

Support among the American public for providing Ukraine weaponry and direct economic assistance has softened, according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

Forty-eight percent say they favor the U.S. providing weapons to Ukraine, with 29% opposed and 22% saying they're neither in favor nor opposed. In May 2022, less than three months into the war, 60% of U.S. adults said they were in favor of sending Ukraine weapons.

Americans are about evenly divided on sending government funds directly to Ukraine, with 37% in favor and 38% opposed, with 23% saying neither. The signs of diminished support for Ukraine come as President Joe Biden is set to travel to Poland next week to mark the first anniversary of the biggest conflict in Europe since World War II.

Justine s facing calls to strengthen Canada's border controls as the country's open approach to immigration worsens a housing shortage.

Quebec Premier Francois Legault said it's time for Trudeau to reconsider his welcoming message to potential new arrivals. Canada's second-most populous province has seen a recent rise in asylum seekers entering from the US at an irregular border crossing south of Montreal.

Public services can't handle all the newcomers, Legault said. "We've exceeded our capacity to welcome. We have problems with housing, places in schools, staff in hospitals," the premier told reporters in Quebec City.

He mentioned a tweet the prime minister sent after Donald Trump's inauguration in January 2017, saying Canada would always welcome those fleeing persecution and war. "It's time for Trudeau to send a new tweet saying not to come," Legault said.

Everyone knows it is the corrupt teacher's unions but Democrats are slaves to the unions so they don't care.  We have to many stupid people here who are brainwashed to vote blue no matter who so things only get worse.
