Threads like this one do nothing but feed the fires of our critics. It makes us look like a pack of petty, butt hurt malcontents.

Does it?  I don't think it does considering how little shit we talk about other forums comparatively speaking.  We couldn't touch VF on the malcontents scale if we tried.



What does locking threads do aside from push issues into other arenas?  People want to talk about shit.  Stifling conversation will accomplish nothing.

It doesn't matter how little we shit talk....Our detractors pick up on every little detail and then blow it out of proportion. You just admitted that the assholes on VF are a whole different level of malcontent.

Oh I don't know; I think calling another forum racist for no good reason and then going on to discussing how shitty the people on the other forum are and how poorly they handled this incident qualifies as "shit talking". Call me crazy  



Regardless of what twists and turns this thread has taken, it started out as a 'shit talking thread".  Trying to back away from it now isn't going to change that.



Furthermore, maybe if we did pay more attention to what others say and took steps on our end to mitigate their ability to start shit, threads like this wouldn't exist.
