Ahmed Saleh, a 26-year-old volunteer with the Syrian Civil Defense -- also known as the White Helmets -- told Fox News that the suspect rockets landed in an area called Al Shohada Square around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.



"There was a strong smell, and we entered one of the shelters to help the civilians there, but I couldn't go all the way because I felt the symptoms of suffocation, difficulty breathing; my tears began to fall profusely," he recalled. "We, paramedics, saw everyone in the shelter lying on the ground. I do not know whether they were dead or alive, but none of them were movin





I don't get this and am skeptical that Syria would do it, knowing they would lose 1000 X more than they could gain using them

This assumes that the Syrian armed forces are under the control of the Government.



What is clear is that Government control is patchy and kaotic, as is Russia's "influence".



However, that does not exempt Assad from culpability. Time for some more cruise missiles. In Damascus.

Reuters also reported two senior US officials had said there was no truth to the reports of any US strikes against Assad bases in Syria.

While they have hit Syria to protect their interests, and can do damned near anything, the motive (gas use) here would not be their "thing" to act upon



Still, earliest reports I saw were low flying planes coming over Lebanon.



Syria says "missiles"  ... not characteristic of Israeli attack ... and Syria says it shot 8 missiles down ... highly unlikely

Anyhow, as to the OP Question, I have always suspected the rebels would be likely to use them to frame Assad to get the West to take their side more so



I figure Assad would not as he knows the price he would pay .. it would be a total loser for him and he knows it
