Wish there're some cockatoos here in Toronto to visit my backyard, or these cute little quails with the flag on top of their heads would be nice too.

We have quails here. I've seen them on mountain trails.

Do you eat them.

I never have lol, but would love to try one

I wouldn't judge you if you did.

Always wanted to try squirrel too, my cousins dad, who was my favorite uncle, use to have a freezer full of 'em lol. Sadly, I never even got to meet him til some of his last years. His son always says, which is my cousin, always says I have his smile  ac_smile  He use to look like Santa Claus lol.

I watched a travel show from either Ecuador or Peru, I can't remember..

They were eating guinea pigs..

It looked like stringy rabbit.

Natives in Peru raise them for food.

There was some mixed in a dish that I ate in a Peruvian Chinese restaurant. It was some kind of combination fried rice with different meats in it. Couldn't pick the duck or the rodent.

The owners adult kids were rare looking. Half Peruvian and half SE Asian.
Blahhhhhh...

Are they game birds?

Yep, these guys tend to breed quite well, think a lot of people in teh southern part of the US hunt and eat them like wild little chickens.
Or little wild pigeons.

Yea and pigeons too, kinda feel sorry for those little guys.  ac_unsure
I have seen pigeons in supermarkets in China. Maybe it was quail.

Like the Chinese say, humans will eat anything that has it's back facing the sky, and including some that aren't.  ac_unsure

Give some Cialis to your pigeon.

Lucky you Blaze, lol if I ever live close to your place, think I wouldn't be able to resist and abduct a few of these little guys, spoil them with my quail size sofa and let them chill in front of the tv all day and dine on meal worms.  ac_cool
