How do you view marriage?

JOE

I know men who had children in their 50s & 60s & most of them hate it.

Or else they're just trying to make the beat of it.

One friend I tried to help out had a daughter at 54. He cant take it. He's cracking up and according to his gf busted the tv in a fit of rage & got ibto a violent fight with her.

Another  guy he's 75 & still trying to work for a living.

He has a 12 year old son from a previous marriage

When I last saw them together he was screaming at the kid.

Actually the guy is such an old father he's old enough to be the boy's grandfather.

Cripes he's a lot older than Bricktop who's already a grandfather.

Another guy I worked with he's 67 same age as BT and he's still working to support a teenage daughter who's still in high school.

Point being, there's an age when a guy shouldn't be starting a family.

Ir else theres a good chance he'll go to the grave before he has a chance to see his child grow up

And they'll have to work til they drop dead.

Quote from: "Odinson"Watching these american wedding shows..

The women seem to be really demanding and the guys just succumb to that.

Like, if he doesnt buy her the ring she wants, the wedding is off..

It seems to work similar in every american dating/wedding show.

Or... If you dont buy the house she wants, she is quitting the relationship.

Is this the norm or is it just Hollywood?

It's Hollywood.

Hollywood's view of marriage. ac_toofunny

Almost as funny as the sixty year old incel view of hetero relationships.

That shot at JOE wasn't necessary..

He'll come back with a long winded rant about you not being able to enter the USA because you were in jail 25 or 30 years ago..

I'll move it to FF, so as not to derail another discussion and he'll whine about censorship, SG doesn't censor him, he likes it better there, but he posts more often here.

You don't say!

Also, if you believe that "unending" child support goes right to the grave, you're experiencing some difficulty in making your own thoughts clear to yourself. No surprise there, I guess.

As for the topic at hand, I never married. Marriage (or the lack thereof) was a key component in the dissolution of our relationship when my ex and I broke up. She wanted to get married for what I thought were all the wrong reasons and I was never the marrying type (and she already knew this many years before we hooked up).

I've been single for over five years now. And I like it. She married an American two years ago and is now living in the U.S.

Marriage is a social institution. If you need standing, marry. If not, don't.

They say the leading cause of divorce is marriage.

Congrats to them as are happily married.
Aimin\' to misbehave.

Bricktop

Very hard to get to know someone well enough to want to spend your life with them when you don't know yourself well enough.

I only got $45 from my son's father....

Another man raised his child...

men are shit... end of.

That's not why I got married.

How often did you receive that amount?

If I had not met my current old lady, I never would have remarried. She makes money, she has a great bod, and horny as a frickin toad. What more could a guy ask for.

He paid once $20 and stopped paying.

He went to court and was ordered to pay.. $20 + $5.00 back pay.

He was supposed to pay me $20 a week for 18 years...

So the second payment was $25.00 then he never payed me again...

So, do you think I sh/would waste my time constantly chasing $25 a week?

Nah, I came from a rich family... I didn't need his piddly $25 a week but I felt for his son. It's a complete betrayal of him.

His biological father willed all his money to my son but my son died so he got nothing.

Just the way things go for some.

But men are no victims in all this. They bring it on themselves.

I received $20 once...

and $25 the second time. Total $45 for 18 years.

The man owes me $20 x 52 weeks x 18 years. $18,720
