I feel his point is that if you take away guns, killers will find another way to kill people.

However, there is no killing machine more effective than guns. That's why soldiers abandoned swords for firearms many years ago.



There is also no justification for using a gun other than to kill.



The argument that people can be killed by a knife seems based on the fact that owning and possessing a knife and carrying it in public places without a lawful excuse is legal.
