Most people that catch the variants recover. Variants are normal progression. I don't think they are as bad as we have been lead to believe.

Agree to the point that variants can progress to where they are more deadly ... that may not happen

Problem is the ones we have are more contagious and thus tend to predominate in time = more cases = harder to dig out of Covidville and all the negatives that come with it

Still eighty per cent of British Columbians believe it is a real threat.

1 in 6 British Columbians don't think COVID-19 is a real threat: poll

A new poll has found that roughly one in six British Columbians do not believe that COVID-19 poses a real threat and a significant portion of skeptics say they have cut ties with friends and family over their views on the pandemic.

"a situation that ultimately borders on a cult" ^^^

Just saw variant rise per day here - These variants will affect the country  greatly & fast .. effectively competing with vaccines and other means to get back to some state of normalcy

# of cases rise very fast because they are more highly transmissible

Active Variant Cases Increasing for BC Alone - March 5 = 12  >>  March 8 = 87 >> March 9 = 113
