If you stop driving her around would that not give her a greater desire to pursue getting a Drivers license?

I think that is what she is getting at. But, I find that so strange that a twenty five year old doesn't want to drive.

That is odd as well esp. with the offer of pretty decent used car/truck  that's paid for would also be a motivator.... Since  sure my dad taught me how to drive when I was young  but I still had to work after school and on weekends  at a min wage job to afford to get a POS beater car but I learned alot about  DIY car repairs and how to save.

I worked as a waitess, and saved my money to buy my first car.....it was second hand.

I had a rusted/busted Lada... Old brown Datsun as well.

My parents sure as hell wouldnt have spent 11k on my car.

The Datsun was theft-proof because only I knew how to start it.

I hear you Fash it also ended up teaching me the value of working hard and saving money to learn to fix things myself and also learning how to fix things as well and to  take good care of things I purchase  even to this day.

I gave my boy money to buy his first vehicle. He paid me back.

Ladas are not a thing in Canada.

They are fine Soviet craftmanship.

It runs on Diesel, gasoline, vodka, cooking oil... Whatever is available.

For a young driver with a DL a great first vehicle would be a late 90's-early 00's Jeep Cherokee XJ with a 5-speed Manual and the 4.0L Inline-6 that way today none of their friends could drive it and it is super easy and cheap to fix and maintain and you can visit some neat places to go camping.

Beautiful car... Ageless design.

I prefer that one over the modern plastic cars.
