Another 60's band cover. Fever was originally recorded by Little Willie John. In 1958, the great Peggy Lee recorded it and it became her signature song.

I almost put this in the lesser known musical gems thread, but this thread won out. Five by Five hailed from Magnolia, Arkansas and I have their album named Last Exit. Their cover of the Jimi Hendrix classic "Fire" actually climbed to #52 on the chart:

I heard a cover of this yesterday. This song has been covered by many artists. But ,in my opinion none of them compare to the original by Gordon Lightfoot.

I posted the original of this Crow classic in the 1960s thread. This cover by Black Sabbath is on their first album:

Very kickass Social Distortion cover of Johnny Cash.

Mike Ness is one very underrated genius.
Watch what you say to me or I'll mind FAWK U.

I never tire of this rock Classic by The Kingsmen. Did you know it is a cover?:

Here's the original:

And it's been covered by countless others over the years. For the record, my favorite is The Kingsmen, hands-down.

It's not as good As Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence, but it's better than the Genesis version in my opinion.

Ever heard of Joyous Wolf?  Me, neither; or to be precise, not until about 15 minutes ago. To make a short story even shorter, this video popped up while I was scrolling for sumpin' else on ewe toob. And let me tell ya - this is one seriously righteous cover of that old Mountain classic:

I love it.

How would I describe this cover of the Neil Young classic with one word? - Interesting. Peter Steele was the front man of Type O Negative and stood at an imposing 6' 8". Unfortunately, he passed away in 2010 from sepsis arising from diverticulitis.  As a result, the surviving band members decided to dissolve it.

I can get into Type O Negative.
