Quote from: JOE on February 04, 2024, 01:14:21 AMI bought 2 of these recently Lokmeer:

Paid over $3000 US each. A bit over $6,000 for 2.

Close to 1.5 ounces of gold in each set.

Mintage was only 750. So I own 1/375th of the production for that year, eh?

I could buy more sets if I want as I know where to get em.

Good value, because they sell in canada for close to face value.

And the government doesn't tax them here because at 99.99% they're considered pure gold, eh.

thing is, they actually sell for $5000 US in your country.
and I'm not sure if they tax gold bullion in the US or not.

Here's a set listed on eBay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/404262450174?hash=item5e1feb73fe:g:-roAAOSwY05kSVlF

You 'mericans jes love our coins and our gold...Lokmeer!

At very least I could sell it to you guys, Bud.

Like I said, don't buy em fi ya can't sell em for what ya paid for em.

Like Prowler's car or your bullets, eh?

When someone sticks a gun in your face, you'll hand all that shit over, non gratis!

Quote from: JOE on February 04, 2024, 12:57:53 AMTho I've chauffeured some very wealthy and influential people in the world, in all honesty I don't like cars much Prowler.

I could buy your car but it'd be a true waste of money.

Could I re-sell it for the price I paid? Probably not.

You spend $100,000 on a car then come to resell it, get only $50,000 back for it at most. Maybe just $30,000. That's a huge amount of money down the drain imho

But each according to his own they say.

My ZLE cost $72K with all my discounts and I race the hell out of it.

WTF do you do for fun, josephine? Rebuff Thiel's advances?

Senile J, you idiot, did you miss the words "Or best offer"?

They are asking $5,000.  It does not mean they will get it.

When you look at Ebay, you should be looking at "Sold" items to get an idea of what they will sell for, not unsold items.

That whole set is 1.44 ounces of gold.

Here is the $50 coin that is 1 ounce that was sold for $2105:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/276285208171?hash=item4053e1b66b:g:UBkAAOSwenxlpKiD&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4N0Wny9uaPikff9osrCiHH1ryK8DzZjOS0m48mBHdrfmoKiDb2Gvv8C8oqEosnUUTqFhhj8LPnqAnMEeMTPhNY5ML4obkiiz398i3yyZRifU7xnpVBdHTZSTUooi10HDu3%2FDGgeRad7Y8f%2FFmDtED8OjUQCtQbsT3nIb3x5NMcIjGY3jKxI3snDUSafhtwHi0WYfiGLDNa7jBmHlc9iuGK%2BOlRLLnDkYY1pXuEWIdZErpi9AAoEyZnQCMdEr4Xxm7IWLHFOtibCRAYDSPwG9gn7RIspWB4dXYq2pn1kcZXjP%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8iu17GuYw

So if 1 ounce is selling for $2105, 1.44 ounces should sell for $3,031.

So, Senile J, tell me again about what a good deal you got....

Hahahahaha!!!!

Senile Joe is a useless sack of shit.

He wastes his opportunity for a good life by constantly worrying about finances.

It is pathetic.

Even all the stupid shit that he buys.  He does not do it because he gets any meaningful amounts of pleasure.  He does it because he is hoping to "at least break even".

Fuck, I bought a pickleball set (a net, 4 paddles, and 10 balls) a few weeks ago for under $100 and I bet I have had more fun using that in the last few weeks than Senile Joe has had in years.  It is not about how much stuff costs.  It is about enjoying your life.

Some things cost a little.  Some things cost a lot.  Who cares?  If you can afford it and it brings you pleasure, buy it.

Have you heard the term "Bump on a log"?  That is Senile Joe.  He is just a waste of oxygen.

None of Joe's stories about his life actually happened. He gets caught in his own lies all the time. A prime example was withdrawing $60K from a savings account.

He wants attention. I try to avoid posting in his self indulgent threads. Sometimes they get off track and become interesting, but otherwise, I stay away from them.

Actually I own that coin, Prowler.

Mine's from 1985.

They're small in diameter and very thick 'n heavy.

Maybe the width of a US Kennedy half dollar?

They weigh like a miniature gold brick.

Nice coins and they're quite popular those early Maple Leafs.

Maybe people like 'em cuz Queen E looks like a 'Beauty Queen' in 'em, eh?

I know where Lokmeer is from, the 'mericans love 'em.

They might even have some collector status/value, eh?

I knows it's something Lokmeer would like fo sho!

Maybe I'll take some more photos and flash 'em at 'im!

He wants attention, but when he gets the right kind of it, he gets upset.

I have had that poor schmuck break down more than a few times.

He might have played the game and won a few times in the past with other people.

But when he decided to play with me, his fate was sealed.

His time is up.

No more.

Joy.

Senile Joe.

Actually Prowler, I'm such good health I'd rather keep working.
Seriously.

Many people my age aren't so fortunate tho.
I good chunk of them already have health problems and have no choice but to retire.

Not me.

God, I feel and look like a young man.
Even a pretty teenage girl remarked the other day that I look 34 Max.
I just asked her cuz I wanted to know how I look to the younger crowd.
Truth be known, I'm old enough ta be her Grandfather.
I'm certainly old enough ta be Dovey's Dad.

It's a good sign if a younger person actually thinks I look closer to their age and not my actual age. lol.

Guess I got lucky in the gene pool, eh.
Full head of dark lush hair.
Nice taut skin. Not at all wrinkled.
So I get away with bein' mistaken fer bein' young.

Almost feels like I could live forever, Prowler.

I'd rather be healthy goin' inta retirement than otherwise, eh.

anyways Prowler, I think I'm gonna keep on workin' and maybe start a small business in my retirment.

I'd actually git very bored if I sat around doin' nothin' eh?

'Digital Nomad' - google it an' lookit up Prowler.

that's what I think I'm gonna do.

Work while yer travellin', eh?

Make money while I'm havin' fun.

Maybe do somethin' like open up an Export/Import business, eh?

If a person can sell on shopify, Etsy or eBay, then can do that quite easily.

I've actually made a few thou in profit on eBay.

fi figger if I can do it, anybody can. lol

Nope. I like my Silver Eagles just fine. They're worth more than the cucknadian stuff. Why? Because they're AMERICAN!!!! Having said that, I do plan on buying some cucknadian silver this week, but only a few hundred dollars worth.

Yeah given what I seen from this younger generation I'm afraid I'd wanna be like that too if I was a Dad in today's World. Some of these kids now are fuckin horrible.

Unfortunately a Dad these days has to be tough & a bit of a tyrant or else he gets eaten alive and becomes a prissy house husband. Spare the rod an spoil the child.

Unfortunately, Jo Jo's father wasn't in the picture. The lack of a positive adult male role model stunted normal development. He never matured beyond adolescence. It is sad and I pity that he lacked direction when he needed it most.

Besides being his lover, I am also a father figure to Jo Jo.
