Strange Night Things

At about 3 am some nights something very large flies outside past our window and it's so big that it blocks out several street lights at the same time. I've witnessed the large blackout of lights a few times and my daughter as well. Our daughter said she saw a large ufo(?) awhile back and that it flew to the height of our house and then off over the trees. Our neighbors have said they've seen something too. It's fairly quick so no time to even grab a camera.  At first I thought maybe a very large bird like a vulture? But we don't have birds that big here. Or could be a group of bats hunting together?

Remember that something flying very close to a light source can effectively darken a huge area...

Hhmmmm ya. But several street lights that are spaced apart by like what 7 or 8 feet? And all at the same time.

Hubby and daughter both said they heard a whirring sound, could someone have a drone or remote control something and be messing around spying on people or something? Or is it aliens? and if it is then why don't they just land and come in for tea or something? Why all the mystery?

Rural street lights are usually hundreds of feet apart.  For them to "go dark" at the same time would require a power failure...

They went dark at roughly the same time as this thing flew past. By the time we actually get a good look it's gone.
