French onion and beef soup with garlic-infused, cheesed sliced potatoes...my missus excelled with this winter dish. So tasty...

A very different French onion soup.

It leant more the side of beef soup, the onion and potatoes were merely an accompaniment.  :001_rolleyes:

Cooked our July 4th meal today. Twelve hours @ 250f. Wrapped in foil at the 10 hour mark. Will put it in the fridge tonight and get out the meat slicer tomorrow and slice it all up.

Some lamb steaks, steamed broccoli and carrot, and mashed potatoes.... cooked the lamb marinated in rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper on a cast iron skillet to get the fat rendered slow and crispy.

Had some leftover meatloaf and made sandwiches with the fresh, still warm, bread.

Wow....so good. May have to make a brisket sandwich tomorrow to have all 3 at once.
