The Brisket and Bread are Beautiful.

The brisket was falling apart it was so tender. Pinto beans with Nagali sausage. 'No mayo' potato salad. First time to have fresh dill in potato salad, different but tasty. Of course the BBQ sauce on the brisket. I didn't mention it but I caramelized 3 large onions to go in the BBQ sauce when I made it.

All in all, a tasty 4th of July meal.

A pretty average seafood basket...

The scallops were tiny and missing their roe, salt and pepper squid were ok, all of it though was bought breaded and frozen beforehand from a vendor. For the most touted fish and chip shop in the region, it was pretty ordinary and expensive.... 25 bucks...

The crab claws were horrible...

Reconstituted crab meat and a binder with a claw as a handle...

I did a classic steak, egg and chips tonight. The steak was rare, as were the eggs. It was tasty as hell!

If anyone offers you some Texas brand hot dog sauce (chili), throw it in the garbage. LOL This is something that is made in New York. Sons partner went to Buffalo NY and brought it back. It's a packet of spices and you add water and ground beef. I have never in my life had chili that had a floral taste and perhaps a touch of cinnamon. Of course looking at the ingredients you see the word "spices". It may say Texas on the package but you would never find chili that tastes "floral". LOL

My first thoughts were of the old pace picante commercials.
