I wish we had immigrated to Aus instead of Canada, but then I think about all the creepy crawlers in that country. Then there are all the spiders. ac_razz  ac_toofunny

Its normal. Happens all the time. They aren't venomous.

Oh. And OUR critters don't usually rifle our garbage and scatter it everywhere in the wee small hours!!! Or trash our cars looking for apples!!!

You must mean raccoons. We don't have that many if any where I live.

We have racoons here, every year a few babies get stuck inside a dumpster and need to be rescued.
