I just want to note about pictures - if you load them via the forum software, people who are not registered and logged in cannot see the images.

I deleted my pictures when Fashionista recommended I do so. But, if you upload them using the forum's software visitors cannot see them.

I know it's different for women, I was making a joke at the expense of myself. I do that a lot. If you can't laugh at yourself then you need to get the stick out of your ass.



As to your question, most of the women on my mom's side of the family are heavy. Unfortunately they all seem to have the fat gene and I was the only one of my siblings to be lucky enough to have it passed on to me.  



Being ethnically Italian on that side of the family doesn't help with our diets either. So consequently many of us struggle with weight issues.



I've been overweight since birth (10 pounds plus). I've been everything from morbidly obese to slightly chubby and everything in between. Like you I could eat nothing but lettuce for months and the results would not make me look remotely thin.  The fact that I'm short (5'3" when on my toes ) wide hipped with broad shoulders doesn't help. Judging by how I'm put together I probably should have been at least 4" taller.

My mom is a heavy set lady too, but not obese either. My old man had forearms that would make Popeye look like a Vancouver pretty boy. Gaining weight came easy to us. Living on a farm and being Ukrainian with all that rich food made it that much easier.



I would like to lose about 25 pounds and get back to the weight I was in the picture I posted yesterday. I cannot possibly be skinny, but that was a weight I was happy with.

Definitely to each his own. My pic has been on enough forums that I just can't worry about it. Not only that I am on a couple of the "professional social medias" as well as social media's so if something is going to happen, it's gonna happen. All I can do is be aware and prepared, and I am.

I'm on professional media too, but no picture in my profile. I don't know. Most people here  delete their pictures, so that's what I'm doing. If people leave their pictures up, I would follow their example.
