Ok, 3000 Euro/month. Is that after tax? We have labourers in the Alberta oilpatch grossing over $7000/month. The work is largely seasonal though.



A journeyman electrician like yourself could easily make $16,000+/month with some overtime.

I have been in a few unions, and I have to say I hate them all.

The more you pay to be in one the less your represented, and the more someone up top is making off your labor.

The worst thing is they usually pander to a sorry politician that isn't even a good one, and use your union dues, should be illegal.

I understand why it's done, but I still think it should be illegal since many of the members have no choice but to pay dues if they want to work that job.

Yeah I could get another job someplace, but shouldn't have to do so.

The Union I was with last seemed to be more for the company anyhow, they gave away so much when they didn't have to do so, and the other company in our state was giving more, and none union.

Industrial pays better than residential..

I did not know you have supervisory experience..



Your wages would be $45-60 per hour base rate plus a company truck..



In IBEW your totel gross pay would be close to $70 per hour..



You would work an 8 hour day with the option of overtime after that and depending on circumstances it could double wage or 150%..



My husband is also a supervisor and he said he would have little trouble making $200 per year in IBEW and that's without killing himself with overtime hours..



Without overtime and just working in a shop you would make over $80,000 per annum at one of the lower paying jobs..



Most electricians make much more than that though.

My husband apprenticed for 4 years on the job with 8 weeks per year in technical college..
