New buildings (like mine), are very difficult to restrict owners from renting...



In fact, Strata isn't allowed anymore, in BC, to restrict owners from renting their units, provided the building was built after a certain year.



My building or strata CANNOT restrict me from renting out my unit.

All I know is my the building my brother in law lives in has a rule restricting renting out units, but it not only happens, it's not uncommon.
