Bricktop

Well, you sure won't find any in Australia.

Some years ago, the government established a small manufacturing business in an aboriginal settlement, and spend time and money training aboriginals how to use the plant and equipment to make products that would sell to a guaranteed market.

6 months later, the plant and equipment lie idle and in total ruin.

They just weren't interested in being white...and why should they be?

Running a manufacturing plant is being white?? I guess the Chinese didn't get the memo.

Bricktop

The Chinese did, and eventually came to the conclusion that it was better than being red. Look at them now.

Capitalism is a white system, and they seem to thrive on it having embraced it in recent years.

I'm not saying it's the  best system...but it's not the ONLY system, and trying to impose it on races and cultures that simply don't get it, or don't like it, is a wasted effort.

Australia should allocate a separate geographical area for aborigines to live in and govern as a sovereign State and leave them to it.

I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King wasnt bad, was hard to put down too. Only took a week to read. The way it ended, there could be a sequel, but there isnt one. Also it tied in slightly with the Dark Tower, and It.

Next book Im about to start, Mr Mercedes, by Stephen King.

Been going through the King books that have been on the shelf that I havent read yet.

I was never into Stephen King books.

Bricktop

I think I read three or four...but they started to become formulaic.

Fixed it for ya

Only joking lol, what kind of books were you into?

Think I got into King in late middle school, early high school. Was beyond anything I had read at that point, and that interested me.

His later stuff does seem that way. Makes me wonder if when he got hit by that van, if it was all a plot, he really died, and what we have now is a clone of King to push the Left agenda! (putting on my tin foil hat)

I've read so many of his books. My favorite, is the Dark Tower series. Had to wait more than a decade for him to continue them after book 3. There is one I hadnt read, that is more recent, and an out of place book if you ask me, as it dives back in a few books back from the end.

The Stand, and IT are my other 2 favorites. Needful Things was real good too.

His later stuff is not true to his old style, at least so far that I've read of some of his recent stuff.

After I catch up on my King books, I may check out more Clive Barker.

Bricktop

I think The Shining, The Stand, Misery and Salem's Lot were his best work.

Particularly The Stand. For some reason IT didn't work for me...
