Thanks, was enough for almost every Cashew member to have a bowl lol, or at least 8-10 hungry men lol. Recipe said it made for 20, but that had to be petite women lol. I still had to break out my big stew pot to make it. Having leftovers as I type! I learned one thing, start make it around lunch time if you wanna eat it by dinner lol. Of course we were drinking and talking as I was prepping it all. But I imagine thats what making gumbo is about, spending the afternoon with friends while ya make it  ac_drinks

Kind of, like Grimm said, its more of a stew, you cook it down some til it gets thicker, but not real thick. Had shrimp, scallops and smoked andouillie sausage. I had to make a rue, then add the meat and minced garlic, minced celery and minced onions. We forgot the okra lol. Also added crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, thyme, basil, cajun season, hot sauce, worchestire sauce.... well here is the recipe.....

We did not do the chicken, he said traditional where he comes from does not use chicken, but more seafood.



Served on a bed of rice. Was so good, but took a while, and was expensive to make. Glad he bought the supplies that I didnt have lol. I supplied the Gentleman Jack
