Zahra Munye Abu (below), celebrated all over the media as the first Somali Muslim female 'diversity' hire by the  Portland, Maine Police Department, has been arrested and charged with five counts, including assault and battery.

A 24-year-old Portland police officer has been charged with five misdemeanors, including assault and battery, after being arrested Saturday night at a concert venue in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Worcester police said Zahra Munye Abu, of Portland, is also facing charges of trespassing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Abu caused a disturbance while attending a Ja Rule and Ashanti concert at the Palladium Nightclub on Main Street, said Worcester police Sgt. Kerry F. Hazelhurst.

"The nightclub was hosting several live musical acts," Hazelhurst said in an email. "She was (given) several opportunities to leave and refused. Eventually she was placed under arrest."

[Well, she did last a year]

Is she still on the police force?

Alcohol was probably the reason for her criminal charges.

Its been a long time coming, but apparently the Somali cop who shot the 40 year old, unarmed Australian woman in pajamas is being charged.

QuoteIf convicted of third-degree murder, Noor could face a maximum of 25 years in prison, though the presumptive sentence is 12 ½ years. A judge could issue a sentence ranging from about 10 ½ to 15 years.

The second-degree manslaughter charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, but the presumptive sentence is four years.

Jail records show he's being held on $500,000 bail.

Was just about to report it - F I N A L L Y

They hoped it would go away for months and finally realized they HAD to do something

Third degree murder is probably the equivalent of manslaughter in Canada.

Bricktop

He should be sent over here to do his time.

What fucking asshole thought recruiting these apes and giving them guns was a good idea? He or she should be prosecuted for being an accessory.

This only happened because someone was feeling left out.

I know from the process my bother had to go through to enter the RCMP it had many tests and checks to eliminate bad apples..

I wonder how someone like that became a policeman.

cc

This was a political decision - mayor and chief wanted "inclusion" .... and showed him off initially as a local Somali  poster boy ...

They got a poster boy alright

Police work is a unique occupation..

The tests and checks are there for a reason.

cc

Yes they are. Police are given extraordinary powers when in certain situations ... and armed and authorized to use arms "appropriately".

They are often tested greatly at times, split second and correct judgement is required on occasion

Choosing the right people is vital ... and special allowances should never be made for political or cultural reasons

It's okay to encourage diversity, but the tests and checks are needed to determine if someone is suitable to be a police officer.

Bricktop

Diversity at all costs is a social plague on white nations. Meanwhile, non-white nations do all they can to un-diversify.

Equal opportunity should be the goal.  Everyone gets a fair chance to show their credentials and prove themselves regardless of color.  After that things land where they land.

Unfortunately the left has this inflexible belief that unles EVERYTHING comes out equal there MUST be racism or sexism somewhere causing inequality.  if 13% of engineers, or cops or whatever, aren't black and and 50% aren't women then there is something horribly wrong, it can't be that different groups behave differently, nope, gotta be racism, sexism etc.
