A recent photo of Gas Station prices in Texas:

I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Not hardly. Either a chop or the sign is in error. Price gouging is illegal. I pity the station that attempts to do that. This is Texas and we don't go for that kind of shit...LOL A tracer round could fly into pump....can you say BOOM!!!! LOL Besides the price for the different grades and types of fuel are all the same.

Seems we already have the climate change folks and Trump bashers using our tragedy for their agenda. Just want to reach out and slap the piss out of these folks.
I've learned that if someone asks you a really stupid question and you reply by telling them what time it is, they'll leave you alone

My license plate did not appreciate going through high water today. Took the grand daughter for a ride to see the water. Did make it back to her street where I took the pics. There was a little more water than when we went the first time.

During the Southern Alberta floods we had small stores gouging people over the price of bottled water..

We also had climate change alarmists milking our tragedy for their own agenda.

That's terrible, but not unexpected.

Oh man I know that one lol. I crossed a creek one time, came up the door a lil, fine. I did it another time, water was higher, it was up to my headlights but higher as it was pushing from the one side. Was a long crossing and I knew I couldnt turn around. When we got home my sons mom asked if he got scared, he said "only when daddy said the S word 3 times"

...as it turns out, or what I found out about Kahbuzz' hometown...

Houston, is only about 50 feet above sea level.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/harvey-why-is-houston-so-prone-to-major-flooding/">https://www.cbsnews.com/news/harvey-why ... -flooding/">https://www.cbsnews.com/news/harvey-why-is-houston-so-prone-to-major-flooding/

QuoteThere are a lot of factors at play. For one: Houston's elevation. The city is relatively flat and is barely above sea level. Downtown is only about 50 feet above sea level, and there's only about a four-foot change between the highest and lowest parts of downtown. That means when rain falls, it has nowhere to go, and takes a long time to drain out.

Some of the southern suburbs are even lower...at 40 feet above sea level. The highest point in the city, in the northwest suburbs is only 128 feet above sea level

...is a poor choice to locate a city, especially one as large as Houston.

If they're not gonna move it, perhaps they should build an elaborate dyke system like Holland to keep the water out.

Is this possible?

It's fucken' hot in Vancouver today, K.

About 90 degrees farenheit.

http://www.vancam.ca/vancam.jpg">

That's unusually hot for us. I'm boiling. 'Specially this late in August.

Maybe we got your Texas weather and you got ours?

Whether you believe in global warming/climate change or not...somethin's happenin'.

We definitely shouldn't be in the middle of a heat wave, and you guys shouldn't be gitttin' Vancouver weather.

Oh well.

kiebers

So we had an 800 year flood. Not 100 year, not 500 year, but an 800 year flood. There is no dyke system in the world that would have helped. Besides if you do some checking, we did build a flood reservoir system with dykes/dams. So tell me J0E if you were planning things back in 1837 would you have planned on 50 inches of rain falling in 5 days knowing the average rainfall is 49".

Move a city???? Really???? Move a city???? Move a city with a population of 6.5/7 million. You know, almost twice the population of British Columbia. Tell me J0E, how you gonna move a city that big.

That full head of hair must suck everything out of your brain cause you sure ain't talking with any brain power. No wonder you never have a clue....they starved to death.

Oh well. Those 800 year floods'll soon become 8 year cycles or less, K.

Git ready for some bruising weather patterns for the remainder of your life.

Global warming is wreaking havoc on the weather systems and the land.

Arctic/Antarctic regions melting faster 'n a popsicle, K.

This doesn't bode well for us.

Glad you 'n me saw the good times, K.

Your grand kids...well I'm not so sure, eh?
