Quote from: "Blazor"Good for you. Wife is taking off tomorrow. We thawed a brisket and this morning I put the rub on it. Doing a whole brisket this time. We normally cut them in half. Going to start it early in the morning and slow cook it around 10-12 hours. We have friends coming over Saturday and will put out our typical brisket, potato salad and cowboy beans to chow down on. It is going to be good....I will take a few pics and post them.Quote from: "kiebers"
Have a good one Sup....
What temperature y'all dealing with down there? Gonna be cold here tomorrow. Sounds good though!
Supposed to be 49 in the morning but with it being sunny we will get to at least 70 if not higher. Perfect for cooking low and slow outside. Have to start the pit around 6 in the morning and should be able to get the brisket on by 6:15 or so. Going to try to find some green pecan wood in the morning at a wood place close by. Nothing quite like green wood to get a good smoke flavor. Good chance it will be a Bloody Mary morning......
