Quote from: "Angry White Male"I do tend to ensure fasteners are secure, but I had no clue that the one screw was actually hollow with a spring inside...  what purpose that serves other than weakening the screw is beyond me!

Should be on the way now from Numrich, even though I never did receive an email confirmation.  If it gets billed to my credit card, I will assume screw is in the mail.

And American ammo is weak, for weak alloy toy guns!  American is also litigious, and will buy alloy toy gun and then cry when it breaks into pieces!

European knows that full house .357 Magnum should be fired in real gun, not toy gun.  And if European decides to full house toy gun, European will know what could potentially happen, and will accept responsibility for his actions!

My 9mm standard Euro ammo is hotter than US 9mm +P!  American make toy bullets.  Euro make the real deal!

Sorry Mel, but that is not exactly true...Euro factory ammo is usually loaded withing the same SAAMI safety standards as domestic ammo. Euro manufacturers are cognizant of the same safety concerns as American ammo producers.

The only exception that I'm aware of is in the case of 9mm parabellum. And that's only because a lot of it is loaded to NATO specs.

Normally if someone were to really wish to shoot hot loads I would recommend buying a single stage press, a reloaders handbook, some components, and load your own rounds. But with you I hesitate to do that, because I know surer than shit, you would mess around with "half a load on" and blow yourself up. And although it would be funnier than hell to watch, I'm not sure your neighbors and condo association would appreciate it.

BTW, there is no such thing as "bullets for toy guns". That kind of attitude is dangerous.

Hand loading is the only way to go. I need to rebuild my loading bench.
I've learned that if someone asks you a really stupid question and you reply by telling them what time it is, they'll leave you alone

Mention guns, and the yanks come flocking in.

I will NEVER own another one of these absolute pieces of shit.  I wish someone would've warned me...

Had I met you sooner, I'd have done so in spades.

Note to staff:  I had no idea there was another S&W thread which I assume came before this one.

They probably didn't feel the need to inform you before they merged them.

I agree about the paucity of my briefings by staff, but I think you're mistaken about the merge.  The OP of this thread is only two days old and I've followed the additions to it.

I didn't see the need for a second thread about Smith and Wesson  one day after the first one, so I merged the two threads.

How about a special forum for the gun nutters.

They can stroke their barrels and finger their triggers all they want without broadcasting their addiction to killing implements to normal people.

I don't think that's necessary Bricktop..

But neither is two threads in two days about the same thing.

Bricktop

I do.

Innocent children are slaughtered by these things. Threads lauding their virtues as if they are works of art, or worse, essential to democracy, are an offence to the victims and those they leave behind, grieving at the senseless loss of life facilitated in part by a seriously flawed government policy.

Park it where only those that think killing children is OK can visit and post. It is not restricting them in any way...and perhaps sends a message that these things are not toys...they are designed, built and SOLD for one purpose...to kill.

Innocent people were  slaughtered by home made bombs in the UK and Boston, but I don't think we need a sub for home made explosives.

Bricktop

I beg to differ.

If someone started a thread discussing the virtues of specific fertilisers to use as bomb material, and the best quality ball bearings to optimise casualties, you'd be on it like a...pardon the pun...shot. In fact, if you weren't, you'd be on the radar of law enforcement authorities.

I'm not advocating stifling or repressing...simply giving them their own area to twirl their revolvers where normal members don't have to be.

Gun worshippers kill more people than home made bombs. And there are some issues that you go so far as to censor here.

Make a stand.

Kids are dying.

There are gun owners that post here that are responsible..

They have every right to post about what they are interested in.

Bricktop

And I am not remotely suggesting they lose any such right. I am an avid advocate of free speech.

There is no such things as a responsible gun owner, other than those with a lawful and practical need for such a weapon. Gun owners who buy weapons because it fulfils a "need" are smaller components of a system that kills others...including innocent children. Park them out of the main area, where they can discuss their addictions to tools of violence without befouling the main deck.

That's an opinion and I disagree. I think libtard enviro nazis are a far greater danger to this country than someone like Herman shooting at badgers with a rifle in one hand and a jug of swish in the other.

This may be true, but what I'm thinking is that Euro ammo is close to max SAAMI pressures, while US ammo seems to be well under SAAMI maximums.

As I've stated, my Euro 9mm surpasses US 9mm +P, and my .357 Magnum Euro is like almost 100 lb/ft more energy @ muzzle compared to US ammo.

While I am positive Euro ammo does not exceed safe pressures, it is also clear that US ammo is WELL UNDER safe pressures.

Do you have a Dillon?

I've been looking at Dillon's.

And not Dillon from Beverly Hills 90210....
