I wasn't here for that, but this is a common problem in forums -- not just the BC.  Being a great poster is no guarantee of having a Mod Temperament.

It's very difficult to tell how any given poster will perform as a Mod.  Trust me, I know...  



I have seen the most cool-headed forum poster fuck up big time within days, if not hours once given status, and have also seen misfits suit the role perfectly.
