I really want to see wild finches and wild cockatiels... One day maybe.

I would love to see wild cockatiels..



They are very common as pets here..



Is their habitat close to you caskur?

6 - 7 hour drive north of me perhaps... a LONG way.



We have the Red Capped Parrot close by though.



I tried to get a decent picture of the rainbow lorikeet tonight as I was on my way to see the sunsey over the Indian Ocean.

I guess we're lucky we have a tree full of them just after dawn squawking like banshees!!!

Very nice close up photos. I can't tell a blue heron from a grey heron.

They're between 30 metres (the pied cormorant perched in a tree right in front of the bird hide I was in) and around 150 metres for the Ibis. The Heron was about 50 metres away.
