From the RACIST (but unbiased) New York Times

At least four people, including two police officers, were killed after a shooting in Fredericton, the capital of the Canadian province of New Brunswick, the police said on Friday morning.

The shooting took place on Brookside Drive, a major thoroughfare in the city, according to the Fredericton Police Force. One person was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, the department said shortly before 10 a.m. They later announced that there was no further threat to the public.

The Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton said it was treating "multiple victims" injured in the shooting. The person taken into custody was also being treated for serious injuries, the police said.[/quote]

No doubt sarah jeong,  genocidal, but unbiased new york times reporter, is hoping they were all white people.

Latest from CNN ... Top Cop said "This is a developing situation and it is premature to determine whether there are any national security implications."

That's "leading" ..... like another "mentally ill so not his fault" ... or nazi head ... keeping in mind that  CNN is chock full of nutcakes who know nothing but have to yap like they actually know something anyhow

NADA on Canadian news .. seems cops have said nothing yet

Dude, that ain't what Peaches said.  What he did say is difficult enough, but if you start trolling it all over unrelated threads you'll shit up this forum even worse than it is.

What Peaches says about this story is, there is a real good chance that the Canadian media are inclined to downplay certain newsworthy stories as a way of playing footsie with government officials.  The bias, if that's what it is, lies with the government -- and the media refrains from calling attention to it.

It happens in most other countries also, including mine... the sort of stories government tries to manage vary from country to country and from administration to administration.  In the case of the US, for example, since about 1948 there has never not been at least one CIA asset sitting on the New York Times editorial board, a fact that neither the CIA nor the NYT ever acknowledges.

Again, that's not "bias."  It's something much worse.

Major Press Conference.

No name of shooter. Press didn't even ask "who" during question period

Not sure yet of the full extent of that on this one,  but their not even asking was strange for the press that always asks questions. Could be  anyone, but cops  are not saying who it was even though they have had him all day

* For the compound story that is TOO true. Reuters is actually seeking sympathy for the father who was indicted conspirator on WTC bombing & character witness for the blind sheikh who planned it  ... AND is imam at the fundy NY mosque behind it all and where the shooter of 2 cops was taught  .. sick!!!

That should be one of the first questions the press asks.

Conjecture. You have no evidence or fact to back up that assertion...a common flaw in all your arguments.

I don't want more thoughts and prayers, makeshift memorials or candlelight vigils.

How about some hard, factual information in a timely manner?

Here we go again.

This time, there were five of them — Fredericton's police chief and deputy chief, the RCMP superintendent now running the homicide investigation, the mayor of the lovely New Brunswick capital city and the premier of the province.

This was more than eight hours after the shooting early Friday morning that left four people dead, including two Fredericton police officers and two civilians, and may have seen as many as seven other civilians wounded.

And yet among them, the five officials had almost nothing to say beyond the identification of the two slain officers

... What the heck happened at the four-building Brookside Drive apartment complex?

You are correct, Captain Obvious, it's clearly stated as conjecture.  Thus it's hardly an "assertion" or an "argument" so the rest of your niggling prattle is just so much mental masturbation.

Try Steven Kinzer's excellent bio of the Dulles brothers ("The Brothers") wherein he somewhere makes the allegation (footnoted) pretty much in the same words I used.  I've loaned out my copy so can't look it up for you at the moment.  You can also read Bernstein's words on the larger issue of CIA involvement in US journalism at the link.
