Did a little research when I posted that. Trying to figure out who he was here with in the 70's. Thinking it was Gerry Rafferty or Manfred Mann or if all 3 were here the same night. No luck on that but I did run across that info while I was looking. Not claiming any credit. But it did stick in my mind...well for a few days anyway. Spooky Tooth.

Wishbone Ash has been around since 1969. They've recorded quite a bit over the years. Their most commercially successful album was Argus, released in 1972. It's a great album and this song is my favorite:

This song was huge in 1972.  I remember watching the Jihadis killing all them Jews at the Munich Olympics and this song was playing on the radio that whole summer.

It's also got one of the greatest guitar riff hooks of all time.  Sometimes I'll dig out my electric guitar just to play riffs like this really loud.

Badfinger was a great  Welsh band. Badfinger was a tragic band. Of the four original members, only one survives. Pete Ham hanged himself. Tom Evans did the same thing several years later. Badfinger did leave us a catalogue of great music. This tune is particularly excellent:

Trapeze was excellent band from the 70's I wish I could've seen live. I did, however, buy two of their albums. FYI, Glen Hughes left to join Deep Purple; Mel Galley later played with Whitesnake; and last, but not least, Dave Holland drummed several years for Judas Priest.

This song is from Trapeze's 2nd album, Medusa:

I first heard this song played by a local band in a club I worked at back in the 70's. I loved it, but didn't discover until much later that it was a Fleetwood Mac song from their 1970 album Kiln House.  It was written by former band member Danny Kirwan.  He joined the band at the age of 18 in 1968 and was fired after a breakdown in 1972. His talent, however, was undeniable:

This is one of those songs I've not forgotten, but rarely listen to.  As I understand it, Mott the Hoople was on on the verge of breaking up, when David Bowie wrote this song for them and persuaded them to stay together. You can definitely tell it is a Bowie number:

Your video isn't showing up in your post, Shen Li.  At least, I can't see it.

Traffic has been in business off and on since 1967. This isn't one of their biggest hits, but's one of my favorites:

Blackfoot is a Jacksonville, Florida band formed in 1970. This is my favorite song of theirs, released in 1979:

No question, Queen produced a large and very successful body of work. That said, I bought their first album waaay back when. To this day, my favorite Queen tunes are from that album. This is one of them:

I know Freddie was a great front man. But, I never could get into that band's music.

I guess I'm of a somewhat similar mind. Except for that first album, none of their later stuff ever makes it to my playlists.

Stealers Wheel was formed in 1972 in Scotland by pals Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty. Both are now deceased, but their music lives on.  "Stuck in the Middle" is their most well-known song, but by no means is it their only good one.  They were very melodic and I've always liked this one from 1973:
