Were it not for the fear of the unknown and possibility of having to go under a knife I'd clearly choose the urgent care option 10 out of 10 times and know plenty of very intelligent professionals doing just that 

 As a kidney stone patient....my ER copay is 150 dollars.

 So everytime I get admitted to the ER it costs 150 bucks.

 I have passed many stones at home and got really good at knowing if the horrific pain I'm in is going to lead to surgery or going to blow over lol

Thats how all governments work tho. My son works for the State of Illinois and they have to spend 100% of their allocated money every year or they get a cut the next year instead of an increase.
