For a spell in the late 60's and early 70's, several "horn bands" became popular. This band was named after its founder Bill Chase and they were top shelf musicians. Sadly, Bill was killed in a 1974 plane crash. This was their biggest hit:

This would be fairly tame stuff in this day and age, but in 1968 it was over-the-top. The band was formed in 1967 by - you guessed it - Arthur Brown, and this number went to #1 in the U.K. and #2 in the U.S.:
