Quote from: J E B Stuart on November 19, 2025, 01:09:35 AMThere is a ton of history, but we can start with this - Fleetwood Mac was formed in 1967 by Peter Green. It was Green who named his band "Fleetwood Mac", which was derived from the names of drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie.  Interestingly, Green left his band in 1970, while Fleetwood and McVie remain with the band to this day.  Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham didn't get onboard until 1967.

Here's an excellent number  from 1969 on their third album "Then Play On", from the Peter Green era:

Amen.

Man, did they change their sound.

I have Who's Next on vinyl. I think it's their best and I used to listen to it a lot. I've seen The Who in concert. Funny thing, though. I haven't listened to much of their stuff in years. Oh well. It's still good. There's just not enough time to listen to everything you'd like. And I have liked this song from the first time I heard it:

Amen.

Deo vindice
