In her point of view, God doesn't exist right out of the gate. Her attitude would be "proof be damned", we don't need no stinking proof.



If she follows the typical mold of the typical prog/socialist then she firmly believes that she is smarter and more enlightened than the cave dwellers believing in in God. In her view, God is a superstition or a myth much like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy. The typical elitist prog believes that people who believe in God are one step away from being little more than ignorant savages, frightened of the dark. They may deny it publicly that they feel that way because after all, you have to keep up the "we're in the tolerant club" charade. But in private they are generally very disdainful of anyone that doesn't conform to their ideology and that goes for any one that they consider a slave to religious dogma.

That one person does not speak for progressives. You don't even know if she is progressive. Most progressives respect beliefs and faiths. In fact, a good number are religious.

He said they used to jail anyone caught openly practicing a homosexual lifestyle. He also claimed that because of this policy of imprisoning gays, homosexuality didn't exist in in Russia and that it was only a morally corrupt western social phenomenon.
