So who are the haters?



The ones who protested peacefully or the ones that got in their faces?

The an "original protester" was arrested for allegedly punching a counter protester. Hitting people isn't peaceful.  Neither is running them over with a car from behind.

I remember we had a rally at city hall in Calgary by the Worldwide Coalition Against Islam or something like that..



Their keynote speaker was a woman who was raised as a Muslim, but is very critical of Islam..



Of course, counter protesters showed up and they wanted to instigate violence, but Calgary Police got between them..



I would like to a special charge created for people who initiate violence..



If anyone  can't get their point across without violence than jail is the best place for them.

Why do counter protesters feel they have to get in people's faces?

Have you never been to a rally?  Things are extremely heated.  The exchanges are extremely heated.  The sides are very much opposed.  You usually have a couple of shit stirrers (usually males) who can't keep their fists to themselves.  People are generally frustrated and feel impotent.  They try to one up and talk over each other.  



Regardless, and I am soooo fucking sick and tired of reading you guys try to justify violence by victim blaming.  Putting a sign up or even getting in someone's face does NOT give someone permission to hit another person.

What if there are consequences for having their politics known? Now, I can't see how opposing alt right would harm anyone's employment. But, the protest in Quebec City had illegal immigration as it's primary message. That's a lot more grey.



But, I have no doubt law enforcement would welcome banning disguises at protests.

There's no law that would disallow it nor can I see there being one because it could be a Charter issue under expression.
