Here is a picture of the road to Cottesloe Beach. On the right is 2 huge Norfolk Pine Trees that are ailing but where a pair of Ospreys have built their nest.



The Cottesloe council are removing trees infected with a fungus growth. I am SO worried for the Osprey... the red arrow indicates the  nest area.. As you can see, the 100 year old trees aren't looking their best.

I looked it up and apparently Hong Kong and Singapore have the most expensive housing markets in the world.

The neighbourhood and that road... you have to be a billionaire to live on that stretch of coast... Cottesloe Golf course on the right, Indian Ocean on the left.

We have houses bigger than that in and around Calgary..



But, none are on a beach on the Indian Ocean.

I don't know why municipal governments would grant building permit. When the house is swallowed up, it will be expensive for emergency/rescue services.

Yes we are lucky those ones at that place are partially used to humans.
